Mayor Bloomberg Hosts Annual Hanukkah Party 12.2.13
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg hosted his annual Hanukkah party at the Museum of Jewish Heritage. The event was one of his last public events as he winds down his 3rd term as mayor. He reminded the large crowd that “Hanukkah is a holiday where we give thanks to the everyday miracles in our lives”, words that certainly resonated with a number of victims of terrorism in the audience and Strength to Strength Board Member attendees Sarri Singer, Robyn Polansky and Wendy Lanski.
The Hanukkah party also featured leadership from many prominent organizations throughout New York City, and speakers included Israeli Consul General Ido Aharoni and executive vice president of the New York Board of Rabbis, Rabbi Joseph Potasnik.
