Victims Weekend Retreat November 17-19, 2017

On a beautiful weekend in November, 44 victims of terrorism, both survivors and bereaved and family members spent time together in NYC. The purpose of the weekends are to unite victims, survivors, first responders and bereaved family members who have all been directly impacted by terrorism. The weekend was very special because it not only included those from attack in 9/11, Oklahoma City, Boston, Israel, Uganda, Kenya and Mumbai but we had additional guests that joined from London for the first time. While the weekend was filled with various activities, nobody could have ever anticipated how amazing the weekend would be with so many new faces. Beginning on Friday evening, November 17th, participants spent time doing various therapeutic and recreational activities including movement therapy, art projects and sharing stories. The weekend could not have taken place without the countless individuals and companies that donated to make the weekend happen. Special thank you to the Belleclaire Hotel, Joey Zimet, Strength to Strength's Young Executives Division and all of our donors for making the weekend possible. Everyone in attendance is already looking forward to our next weekend retreat.
